Little Fishes
(Mothers & Toddlers)
Monday afternoons at 1.30 till 3.15 pm held during term time.
Little Fishes is a group for mums with young babies. Although originally the age of the baby was to be 0-6months old we have found that our mums want to stay with us for longer, so most of our babies are now 8-14months old. This has changed some of the things we were able to do when they were very young & slept most of the time. Last week instead of perhaps a craft session we had a stimulating time learning action songs to sing with the babies. In recent weeks one of the Health Team have given basic baby resuscitation training to our mums & the next visit from the Health Team will include a video & chat about MMR. A very topical point for our mums as soon they will have to decide if they want their child to have the injection. One of our mums who lives right next to our church has invited all the mums & babies to a picnic in her garden in May. Please pray for good weather. The atmosphere, the friendliness of the mums to new members all adds up to something rather special. Thank you for your prayers for this group, please continue to prayer that we can reach these mums, that they continue to bring their children into Novartots, Sunday Club and Shipshapes.
